Tessie Tomas - Public Relations Officer

Ms. Tomas is a multi-award winning stage, television, and film star. She is also a script and song-writer. A mass communications graduate of the University of the Philippines, Ms. Tomas began her professional career in the field of advertising. She rose through the ranks to become the first Filipina to hold the post of Creative Director in the Philippines for one of the largest international advertising agencies. Simultaneously, Ms. Tomas developed an acting career that has included many stage and television shows as well as major films. She was nominated for the "Best Supporting Actress" Award in the 1989 Emmy Awards for her performance in "A Dangerous Life" and won the "Best Women's Show Host" Award five years in a row (1992-1996) for her performances in the daily television show "Teysi ng Tahanan". Ms. Tomas is a citizen of the Philippines. She has been on the Board of CFSI for more than five years and was re-elected Public Relations Officer in November 2006.
