Paul Tañedo is a photographer and award-winning film producer as well as a businessman. Born in the Philippines and educated at the University of Santo Tomas, his photos have appeared in
CFSI publications for more than twenty years. Some of these reflect Mr. Tañedo's work with refugees from Viet Nam, Cambodia, and Laos in the Philippines in the early 1980s whilst others come from his more recent interactions with communities affected by armed conflict in Mindanao. His work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institute, Martin Luther King Library, and other important venues in Washington, DC. Now a citizen of the United States, Mr. Tañedo has been actively involved in advocacy efforts in Washington on behalf of refugees and Filipino veterans of World War II. He was elected to the Board of
CFSI in 2005 and is presently helping to raise awareness of the needs of internally displaced persons in Mindanao as well as
CFSI efforts to address these needs.
